Physiotherapy Internship

AIC Kijabe Hospital are seeking to fill the following position of PHYSIOTHERAPIST INTERN

Reporting to the ASSISTANT MANAGER PHYSIOTHERAPY.

Purpose: To glorify God by performing physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse and complex conditions, providing a diagnosis, developing and delivering a patient focused treatment programme under guidance of physiotherapist.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure customer satisfaction for the consumers of the services offered by the department and efficient execution of work processes as assigned
• Encourage patients and their care in an active approach to regaining and maintaining independence
• Evaluate a patients’ progress, reassess and alter treatment programs if required, developing reflective practice
• Determine the patient’s understanding of treatment proposals to ensure valid patient consent
• Work within physiotherapy clinical guidelines and to have a working knowledge of national and local standards and monitor quality of practice
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient treatment records in line with standards of practice

Applicants Qualifications, Experience, Competencies and Attributes

• Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy
• Must be registered with Physiotherapy Council of Kenya
• Must demonstrate ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Must demonstrate high integrity and ethical practice
