The Commission for University Education (CUE) seeks to recruit dynamic, result-oriented, competent and self-driven individual for the position of:
RESEARCH OFFICER – JOB GRADE CUE 6

a) Job Specification
Duties and responsibilities will entail:
- Collecting disseminating information related to university education and research;
- Identifying research problems;
- Implementing research projects;
- Evaluating project proposals;
- Designing data collection procedures and instruments;
- Collecting and collating data on research projects;
- Maintaining reports on research;
- Participating in the drafting, reviewing and implementation of research policies and strategies;
- Supporting identification of research priorities for the organization and the development of research agenda for university sector;
- Participating in the review of the Commissions’ Strategic Plan, annual work plans and Performance Contracts to align to the national development goals;
- Participating in the development and implementation of University Education Management Information System (UEMIS) to monitor university education in the country.
- Monitoring research teams and provide timely progress reports.
b) Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
i. Bachelorโs degree in education; Economics, Statistics, Planning, or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
ii. Membership of a relevant professional body/Institution where applicable;
iii. Proficiency in computer applications; and
iv. Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
