Huawei IT Competition 2023-2024 – Sub-Saharan Africa

Introduction

Huawei ICT Competition is a competitive ICT talent exchange event developed by Huawei for University and college students globally. To promote the healthy development of the ICT talent ecosystem and support the integration of industry and education, Huawei invites University/college students to participate in the 8th Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024.

  2. Preliminary – Nov.2023
  3. National Final – Dec, 2023
  4. Region Final – Feb. 2024
  5. Global Final – May, 2024

National Final Stage

Regional Final Stage

Global Final Stage

Question Type: Online: true or false, single-answer, and multiple answer questions; Lab: Scenario-based comprehensive lab exam
Total Score: 1000 for each test

Additional Information

  1. Regional final award will be given to students only
  2. Extra points for Huawei Certification will be awarded at National Stage as follows:
    • CIA Certificate – 50 points
    • HIP Certificate – 100 points
    • HCIE Certificate – 200 points
  3. Extra points applicable if certificate was awarded between the registration period and National final period.
  4. Only highest level points will be added, i.e. In the case where a HCIA certified student upgrades to HIP during this period, they will have an additional 100 points.
  5. Technical direction in the certification does not matter.
  6. Regional Finalist awards are team awards. National Final internship will go through additional HR interviews.
  7. Huawei reserves the right of final decision.

Competition Rules

  1. Competitors that have taken part in the Global finals in previous years cannot participate in the same track again.
  2. Each competitor can participate in only one track of the Practice Competition. (Those who participate in the Practice Competition must not attend the Innovation Competition, and vice versa
  3. Huawei reserves the right of final decision
