Leading Young in Kenya – Cohort 1
Are you a passionate young leader interested in public sector leadership and based in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, or Murang’a? The Leading Young is now accepting applications for its inaugural cohort!
This prestigious leadership incubator delivered in partnership with the American Spaces Kenya, aims to nurture and empower young Kenyans between 21-35 with a keen interest in public service, governance, and leadership. Through comprehensive training, mentorship, and practical experience, Leading Young will equip participants with the tools and knowledge to drive meaningful change in their communities and the country at large.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Citizenship: Must be a citizen of Kenya.
- Age and Education: Applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 35years and a graduate of a recognized tertiary institution.
- Leadership Experience: Applicants must provide evidence strong and demonstrable leadership skills with a credible track record of service to the community and society.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in both oral and written English as program will be primarily delivered in English.
- Patriotism and Vision: Applicants should express patriotism to Kenya and show interest in the country’s stability, growth, and development, with a clear interest in participating in the transformation of the country’s public service.
- Commitment: Applicants must be willing to commit to the values and full program of the LYiK.
