About the Job

We are seeking a Hi-Lo Operator – Trainee who will report to the Cane Yard Officer. The Hi-Lo Operator – Trainee is an entry-level position where the individual will receive training in operating forklifts to transport sugarcane and other materials within the cane yard and mill.

Responsibilities

• Training and Development: Participate in a structured training program to learn how to operate a forklift (Hi-Lo) safely and efficiently.
• Assistance in Load Handling: Assist experienced operators in loading and unloading materials onto vehicles, storage areas, and conveyor systems.
• Safety Compliance: Learn and adhere to safety protocols while operating the forklift under supervision.
• Equipment Care: Assist in performing routine checks on the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Learning and Support: Gain hands-on experience in material handling while supporting the yard and mill operations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in forklift operation.
• Basic understanding of safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical training in equipment operation.
• Previous experience in an industrial or agricultural setting.
