Siaya Institute of Technology (SIT) is a Public TVET Institution operating under the TVET Act No. 29 of 2013 in the State Department of Vocational and Technical Training, Ministry of Education, Kenya. It is situated in Siaya Town along the Siaya – Rang’ala Road.

Trainer Health Sciences Department

Terms of Service: One year contract renewable subject to satisfactory performance.
Salary: As per the existing SIT B.O.G Terms of Service.

QUALIFICATION: Degree in Community Health/Public Health

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Undertaking training in areas of specialization in accordance with the syllabus
2. Preparing teaching/learning materials and schemes of work
3. Setting and marking examination/assignment
4. Instructing, guiding and evaluation of trainees in practical exercises
5. Reporting progress and overall performance of individual trainees
6. Participating in development of curriculum and training programmes
7. Undertaking/ carrying out research work under the guidance and supervision of a senior trainer.
8. Supervision of trainees on attachment

Note:

Registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable, background training in Competency-based education (CBET), Pedagogy and TVETA Registration will be an added advantage.
