IT Graduate Trainee

Summit Recruitment and Search Africa client, a leading security company in Kenya and East Africa, is looking to recruit an IT Graduate Trainee to join their dynamic team.

This role is ideal for recent graduates eager to kickstart their careers in information technology and programming within a fast-paced and innovative security environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of IT security protocols to protect company data and resources.
• Support the IT team in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Participate in the monitoring of network security and system performance, identifying potential vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with team members to conduct regular security audits and assessments.
• Help in the development and documentation of IT policies and procedures related to data security and privacy.
• Engage in hands-on training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills in IT systems.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for management on IT security status and improvements.
• Provide exceptional customer support to internal teams regarding IT-related inquiries and issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of IT security principles and practices is.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and common cybersecurity tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
