PR & Communications Intern

Community Transformation Centre (CTC) is a faith-based NGO registered in Kenya in March 2021. It was later incorporated as Global CTC, Inc. in the USA in November 2022, obtaining 501(c)3 status.

CTC Africa serves some of the hardest to reach communities in places prone to conflict, extreme hunger, climate change, and flooding. Our focus is on women, children, and the youth. We work in partnership with churches as basic structures for community sustainability of our programs. We know that real progress comes not just from reacting to disasters, but by equipping and empowering the people to transform their own lives. We achieve this by working with communities to build their resilience and ensure their transformation is sustainable.

Objective:

Seeking a passionate and proactive PR & Communications Intern to support media outreach, content creation, and stakeholder engagement for a community-driven NGO. The ideal candidate will amplify the organization’s impact through storytelling, digital engagement, and effective communication. Must be a Christian.

Key Competencies:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, professional correspondence, and storytelling.
• Content creation including graphics, videos, and blogs, social media platform management, and analytics.
• Press outreach, media relations, and journalist engagement.
• Passion for social impact, event organization, and stakeholder collaboration.
• Campaign development, photography or videography, and impact-driven content.
• Trend monitoring, community issue research, and report drafting.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, multitask, and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Communications, PR, Journalism, Media, or related fields.
• Certification in Digital Marketing, PR, or Content Creation is a plus.
• Proficiency in Canva, Adobe, Premiere Pro, or CapCut.
• NGO experience, donor communication, and proposal writing are advantageous.
