Reports to the Principal Engineer/Scientist – Reservoir Management.

Duties and responsibilities

Planning, coordinating and supervising reservoir management programs
Preparing and implementing well monitoring programmes for production fields including generating reports indicating well behaviour and output.
Processing field data, analysing, interpreting and generating reports including conceptual model reports.
Prepare the budget estimates required to carry out reservoir management operations.
Be responsible for the tools, equipment, instruments and vehicles.
Manage a team of staff that will be carrying out well monitoring Ensuring well monitoring instruments and gauges are within calibration.
Procuring tools and equipment for the section which includes preparation of tender documents and evaluation.
Preparing the section’s annual budget.
Preparing the monthly report for the section.
Controlling overtime within the section.
Implementing EMS and QMS procedures within the section.
Identifying training needs for technicians, craftsmen and artisans based on personal development plans (PDP)

Person Specifications

Must be a holder of an undergraduate degree in BSc. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or BSc in Physics.
Post Graduate diploma in Reservoir Physics will be an advantage.
Minimum 1 year experience as Reservoir Scientist
Membership with relevant professional organizations will be an advantage
IT literate including knowledge on Microsoft Project, GDman, PETREL, grapher and surfer plotting softwares.
