Reports to the Principal Engineer/Scientist – Reservoir Management.
Duties and responsibilities
- Planning, coordinating and supervising reservoir management programs
- Preparing and implementing well monitoring programmes for production fields including generating reports indicating well behaviour and output.
- Processing field data, analysing, interpreting and generating reports including conceptual model reports.
- Prepare the budget estimates required to carry out reservoir management operations.
- Be responsible for the tools, equipment, instruments and vehicles.
- Manage a team of staff that will be carrying out well monitoring Ensuring well monitoring instruments and gauges are within calibration.
- Procuring tools and equipment for the section which includes preparation of tender documents and evaluation.
- Preparing the section’s annual budget.
- Preparing the monthly report for the section.
- Controlling overtime within the section.
- Implementing EMS and QMS procedures within the section.
- Identifying training needs for technicians, craftsmen and artisans based on personal development plans (PDP)
Person Specifications
- Must be a holder of an undergraduate degree in BSc. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or BSc in Physics.
- Post Graduate diploma in Reservoir Physics will be an advantage.
- Minimum 1 year experience as Reservoir Scientist
- Membership with relevant professional organizations will be an advantage
- IT literate including knowledge on Microsoft Project, GDman, PETREL, grapher and surfer plotting softwares.
