About Company

Makueni County Public Service Board is a body corporate established under Section 57 of the County Governments Act 2012 whose mandate includes appointing persons to hold or act in the offices of County Public Service.
In order to strengthen the capacity of the Public Service, the Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following positions as per Section 59 of the County Governments’ Act 2012.
DEPARTMENT OF INFRASTRUCTURE, TRANSPORT, PUBLIC WORKS HOUSING &ENERGY
Assistant Office Administration III (1 Post)
Salary: Job Group ‘Н’
Salary Scale: Kshs. 26,900 х 1,110 – 28,010 х 1,120 – 29,130 x 1,150 – 30,280 x 1,170 – 31,450 x 1,250 – 32,700 x 1,300 – 34,000 x 1,380 – 35,380 р.m.
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail; –
(i) Taking oral dictation;
(ii) Word and data processing;
(iii) Managing e-office;
(iv) Ensuring security of office records, documents and equipment; (v) Maintaining an up-to-date filling system in the office;
(vi) Operating office equipment;
(vii) Maintaining an up-to-date filing system in the office;
(viii) Operating office equipment;
(ix) Managing office protocol;
(x) Managing office pretty cash; (xi) Handling telephone calls and appointments;
(xii) Supervising office cleanliness and undertaking any other office administrative duties that may be assigned.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have; –
(i) Kenya certificate of secondary education, mean grade C- (minus) with at least C (plain in English or Kiswahili language or its equivalent qualification from a re cognized institution; (ii)Diploma in Secretarial Studies from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).
Or
Business Education Single and Group Certificates (BES & GC) from the Kenya National Examination Council following subjects; –
(a) Typewriting III (50 W.P.M)/Computerized Document Processing III; (b) Shorthand II (80 W.P.M)
(c) Business English II/Communication I; (d) Office Practice II;
(e) Secretarial Duties II;
(f) Commerce II;
(g) Office Management III/Office Administration and Management III;
(iii) Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution
