Vacancy Description
The Government has launched a nationwide youth employment programme aimed at empowering jobless young people across the country to engage in gainful employment.
Dubbed the Climate Resilience Service Program (CRSP), 111,034 youth are expected to be recruited across all the 47 counties.
The program will be implemented under the supervision of KeRRA and KURA engineers, in collaboration with NGAO officers.
The youth will undertake sustainable public works in infrastructure, environment, housing and urban development sectors.
Applicants must be aged between 18-35 years and must be residents of the local community, while for the supervisory role, preference will be given to National Youth Service recruits due to their experience in discipline, leadership and structured public service tasks.
The key areas of focus include:
- Road maintenance and repair
- Tree planting, seedling production, and seedbed preparation, in partnership with the Kenya Forest Service (KFS)

Eligibility:
- Only one applicant per household is allowed.
- Former and ex-NYS recruits will be prioritized for supervisor positions.
Cohort Rotation & Engagement:
Recruits will work in two cohorts, each for 10 consecutive weekdays (Monday–Friday).
During the off-period, youth will participate in sessions on national values, patriotism, and personal growth.
Payment Schedule:
Wages will be paid after every 10-day shift via M-Pesa.
- Workers: KES 500 per day
- Supervisors: KES 580 per day
