DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Perform bank and ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
Support the finance team in daily bookkeeping and data entry into the accounting system.
Help with invoicing, payment processing, and following up on outstanding receivables.
Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in preparation of statutory returns (e.g., VAT, PAYE, SHIF, NSSF).
Participate in internal audits and assist with implementing audit recommendations.
Provide administrative support to the accounting department as required.
Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes and improve accuracy.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 1 year of post-graduation work experience in an accounting or finance role
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) is an added advantage
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
