Assistant Chef

WE ARE RECRUITING ASSISTANT CHEF

Staffing Partner Africa client, a busy hotel in Nairobi CBD, is looking to hire an experienced Assistant Chef to support their kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and cooking meals according to menu and quality standards.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely and hygienic manner.
• Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and stock.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
• Monitor food supplies and communicate shortages promptly.
• Observe all food safety and hygiene regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hotel.
• Must hold a valid Food Handler Certificate.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety standards.
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Passion for food quality and presentation.
