Murang’a County Government is actively seeking ambitious, qualified individuals to join us as MORTICIANS (INTERN). Are you a certified professional ready to gain vital, hands-on experience? The Murang’a County Public Service Board is looking for you.
MORTICIAN (INTERN) – FOUR (4) POSTS
Minimum Requirements
- Be a Kenyan citizen
- Certificate in Mortuary Science lasting not less than six (6) months from a recognized institution
- KCSE D (Plain)
- A registration certificate from the Kenya Health Professions Oversight Authority
- A valid practicing licence from the Kenya Health Professions Oversight Authority
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong English and Swahili language skills
- Training in embalming and grief counseling.
- Proficiency in computer skills
Duties and responsibilities
- Collecting and receiving bodies within the hospital and outside through the prescribed procedures.
- Recording bodies received.
- Washing the bodies, embalming, and refrigeration.
- Scrubbing and assisting in post mortems.
- Counselling the relatives.
- Releasing the bodies to the relatives as per the laid procedures’
