HCS Affiliates Group client, an on-demand Courier Service that delivers products ordered through their mobile app seeks to recruit an Operations Intern, who will be a key point of contact between the company and their customers.
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Operations Intern to support our rider acquisition and management efforts across Nairobi, Ngong-Rongai-Karen, and Thika areas. This role offers hands-on experience in operations management, recruitment, and training within a fast-paced technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Rider Sourcing: Identify, recruit, and attract potential riders through various channels including referrals, and field recruitment
- On boarding: Guide new riders through registration processes, documentation verification, and platform setup
- Data Management: Track recruitment metrics and on boarding progress
- Field Operations: Conduct on-ground activities across designated areas to meet recruitment targets
Requirements
- Degree in a Business or Social Sciences related field, or having equivalent
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working in the field and engaging directly with riders
- Organized, proactive, positive, consistent, and driven by results
- Basic data and reporting ability (Google Sheets, Excel)
- Ability to work independently and meet targets
- An undergraduate degree (in any field) is a plus
- Familiarity with Nairobi, Ngong-Rongai-Karen, and Thika areas
