Job Overview
The role is responsible for acquiring customers through effectively identifying and qualifying potential Business Owners who visit the OpenBusiness Shop and Experience Center, Engage on Social Channels and Sign Up on the OpenBusiness Mobile POS App. Once qualified, the role educates on and promotes OpenBusiness digital products/services and Android POS hardware as guided by OpenBusiness Customer Promise and Experience standards.
The impact of this role is increased registrations, business pipeline, shop visitor engagement and payment of subscription and Android POS devices, as well as renewal of subscriptions and increased recommendations/referrals by the OpenBusiness existing customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Understand OpenBusiness Africa’s overall business, culture, strategy, digital products/service, and processes
- Identify and qualify potential Business Owners
- Promote and educate qualified Business Owners on OpenBusiness digital products/services, Android POS devices and service delivery processes
- Close sales with the Business Owners resulting in payment for subscriptions and Point of Sale Devices
- Uphold OpenBusiness culture and values and demonstrate OpenBusiness behaviour as you perform your day to day duties
- Receive and proactively respond to Business Owners enquiries and requests on phone, WhatsApp, social media, text or email
- Coordinate internally to ensure quick resolution of any customer complaints
- Establish, develop and maintain positive customer relationships.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Accounting, IT, or a related field ( recent college or university graduates encouraged to apply).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Confident, persuasive, and proactive personality.
- Basic understanding of technology systems (POS, ERP, CRM, etc.) is an added advantage.
- Comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work full-time including half day on Saturday
- Sales and Marketing Experience as well as sharp social media marketing skills will be an added clear advantage
