ICT Assistant

NEMA is seeking a highly motivated ICT Assistant in Nairobi for a permanent, pensionable role focused on strengthening Kenya’s environmental governance infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional holding a minimum Diploma in a relevant field to directly contribute to national environmental coordination.

The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), established under the Environmental Management and Coordination Act (EMCA) Cap 387 is mandated to exercise general supervision and coordination over all matters relating to the environment in Kenya; and to be the Principal Instrument of Government in the implementation of all policies relating to the environment.

The Authority invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the following vacant positions.

ICT Assistant

Job Responsibilities

1. Coding, testing, implementing computer programs, providing user support;
2. Maintaining support systems and training of users;
3. Repairing and maintaining of Information Communication Technology equipment’s and associated peripherals;
4. Receiving, installing and certifying of Information Communication Technology equipment;
5. Configuring of new Information technology equipment.

Academic Qualifications

1. Diploma or Higher Diploma in any of the following disciplines: – Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Communication Technology, Business Information Technology or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
