Location: Nairobi, Nyeri, and Nakuru (with travel as required)

About the Role

NexGen Fuelworks is seeking a motivated and eager-to-learn Technical Trainees to join our team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates with a Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering who are passionate about the Oil & Gas downstream sector. The internship provides hands-on exposure to fuel equipment, dispensing pumps, compressors, and related systems, supporting our field service and maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist technicians in installation, servicing, and maintenance of fuel equipment.
• Support troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues at client sites.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and reporting activities.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and safety standards during fieldwork.
• Document and record daily job activities as guided by supervisors.
• Learn and apply industry best practices in Oil & Gas equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or related.
• Prior experience will be an added advantage.
• Strong interest in the Oil & Gas downstream industry.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to hands-on fieldwork.
• Flexible to travel frequently across different sites.
• Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
