Legal Internships at Commission On Administrative Justice - Office Of The Ombudsman

The Commission on Administrative Justice-Office of the Ombudsman is hiring Legal Interns in Eldoret and Kwale. As an intern, you will help screen complainants, provide legal advice, and assist with public complaints. You will also conduct legal research on administrative justice, compile reports, and gather data. The Commission On Administrative Justice-Office Of The Ombudsman, Is A Constitutional Commission Established Under Article 59(4) Of The Constitution, And The Commission On Administrative Justice Act, 2011. The Mandate Of Office Of The Ombudsman Is Two-Fold, And Extends To Both National And County Governments. Firstly, The Commission Has The Mandate Of Tackling Maladministration (Improper Administration) In The Public Sector.

What you'll do

Duties and responsibilities for this position will entail:

1. Screening of complainants
2. Assisting in handling public complaints and provision of legal advice;
3. Assisting in conducting legal research on matters relating to administrative justice and other legal matters;
4. Compiling reports and collating data for preparation of briefs
5. Any other duty assigned by the Commission from time to time

Qualifications

For appointment to this position, a candidate must have;

1. A Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized institution
2. CLEARANCE/COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATES: Successful candidates will be required to provide copies of clearance or compliance certificates.
