Youth Polytechnic Instructors

Nakuru County Public Service Board is hiring Youth Polytechnic Instructors III. You will provide theoretical and practical training in your specialized field, develop lesson materials, assess trainees, and maintain equipment. You will also guide and counsel students and facilitate co-curricular activities. Basic Salary Scale: Kshs.28,620 – 37,100 p.m. CPSB 11 (J/G ‘H’)
Allowances: As per the SRC circulars attached to the position
Terms of Employment: Permanent & Pensionable

Qualifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

1. Qualifications attached to each field of Training/Specialization;

2. Certificate in instructors’ course from Kenya School of TVET/KTTC;
3. Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Theoretical and practical instruction in the area of specialization;
2. Preparing and maintaining schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, trainee records, teaching and learning materials;
3. Carrying out trainee assessment;
4. Ensuring proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment;
5. Conducting co-curricular activities;
6. Maintaining trainees’ discipline; and guiding and counseling trainees.
