Trainee - Roto Molding Machine Operator

Astral Industries is hiring a TRAINEE – ROTO MOLDING, MACHINE OPERATOR in Isinya, Kajiado, Kenya.

Astral Industries Limited is a Kenyan manufacturer that specializes in water storage and distribution solutions. Known for producing the “Jumbo Tanks” brand, the company manufactures plastic tanks, steel tanks, pressed steel tanks, fencing, and pipe products, serving the construction and agricultural sectors.

Astral Industries Limited is seeking a disciplined and highly trainable individual to join our production team as a Trainee Roto Molding Machine Operator.

This role is designed for candidates who are eager to learn and develop hands-on skills in plastic water tank manufacturing. The selected candidate will undergo structured, in-house training on roto molding machines, production processes, and quality control standards. Performance during the first month will be closely monitored to assess learning speed, adaptability, and overall progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and operate roto molding machines under supervision.
• Follow detailed production instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Assist in the manufacturing of plastic water tanks from start to finish.
• Monitor product quality and report any defects or inconsistencies.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety within the production area.
• Work closely with the training supervisor and implement feedback.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum: Certificate, Diploma, or relevant technical training.
• Strong ability to learn quickly and apply new skills.
• Good listening skills and ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Demonstrated discipline, reliability, and work ethic.
• Basic mechanical or technical understanding is an added advantage.
• Willingness to work in a factory environment.

Performance Expectation (Critical)

• The candidate must demonstrate clear learning progress within the first 30 days.
• Ability to grasp machine operation basics and production workflow.
• Positive attitude towards training and continuous improvement.
