About Company
The National Gender and Equality Commission (NGEC) is a Constitutional Commission established by the National Gender and Equality Commission Act No. 15 of 2011 pursuant to Article 59 (4) & (5) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010. The Commission’s mandate is to promote gender equality and freedom from discrimination for all people in Kenya with a focus on special interest groups, which include women, children, youth, persons with disabilities (PWDs), older members of society, minorities, and marginalized groups.
The Commission is seeking to recruit a highly motivated, visionary, dynamic and results-oriented candidate to fill the following position:
OFFICE ASSISTANT III – NGEC 10
REF: NGEC/HR/10/3/2025-(3 POSTS)
Remuneration (Basic Salary): Ksh. 31,420-44,615.00
House Allowance:ย Ksh. 6,750
Commuter Allowance:ย Ksh. 4,000
Medical Cover: As existing in the Commission
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
For appointment to this position, the candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- A Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D+ (Plus) or its equivalent from Kenya National Examination Council;
- Computer skills; and
- Met the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities will entail:
- Cleaning offices, machines, equipment and apparatus;
- Cleaning kitchen and preparing tea;
- Maintaining general cleanliness around the offices by collection and disposal of litter;
- Ensuring proper sanitation;
- Carrying out photocopying and binding documents;
- Dusting offices;
- Moving or carrying office equipment, furniture;
- Dispatching letters;
