Product Development & Service Design Internship 

Responsibilities

  1. Own and track the product development cycle from concept creation, development, pre-launch, and post-launch activities
  2. Conduct user research and identify innovation opportunities and trends in the industry, proposing findings to stakeholders for product enhancements
  3. Understand user needs, create personas, and map out the stages of their journey; design service blueprints that reflect real-world workflows
  4. Collect and track client issues and pain points, collaborating with internal teams to ensure they are resolved and closed
  5. Provide support to client-facing teams for quick resolution of client queries, and engage with service providers to ensure timely resolution of issues
  6. Document process requirements and conduct usability acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure requirements are met
  7. Review current product features and process flows, and recommend process enhancements
  8. Research and propose strategies that would drive product uptake and performance across Vunoh’s service verticals
  9. Prepare periodic reports showing product uptake, potential growth areas, and proposed client base expansion opportunities
  10. Perform such other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Requirements

  1. A grade of B+ and above in KCSE (or equivalent), with good grades in mathematics and languages
  2. A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of second-class honours; candidates expecting to complete their degree in the next few months are eligible, provided they will be available for the full internship duration
  3. Demonstrated interest in technology, digital products, or financial services, and a willingness to explore the intersection of technology and business
  4. Ability to learn quickly and manage workload effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  5. Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
  6. A team player with a strong work ethic and proactive communication style
  7. A desire to take initiative, ask questions, and suggest process improvements
  8. Entrepreneurial spirit, with demonstrated creativity and innovation in academic or professional settings
  9. Familiarity with or curiosity about AI-powered tools and how they can enhance product design, client experience, and service delivery
  10. Enthusiasm for leveraging AI tools, automation, and digital platforms to design smarter, more efficient cross-border services
