IT Internship

The Lake Turkana Wind Power (LTWP) Project is East Africa’s largest wind farm comprising 365 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 850KW, and a high voltage substation.

Intern – IT

The IT Intern will assist the IT department in providing technical support and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems within the organization. This offers hands-on experience in troubleshooting, networking, cybersecurity, and software management while supporting end-users with their IT-related needs.

Key Activities and Accountabilities

1. Technical Support: Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software issues for end-users, ensuring minimal downtime.
2. IT Asset Management: Maintain an IT equipment inventory and report on system upgrades or replacements needed.
3. Software Support: Help install, configure, and update software applications used within the organization.
4. Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on our network infrastructure.
5. Other Duties: Perform any other IT-related tasks assigned by the Head of IT.

Qualifications and Experience

• Recently completed a degree/diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
