The Nyandarua County Public Service Board invites applications from suitably qualified, competent, and experienced persons to fill the following vacant positions in the County Government of Nyandarua's  DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE, ECONOMIC PLANNING, REVENUE AND ICT

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT III, JOB GROUP 'H' - ONE (1) POST

Terms of Service: Five (5) year renewable contract with a provision to translate to permanent and pensionable.

Duties and Responsibilities:

(i) Assisting in preparation and processing of procurement documents;
(ii) Receiving, recording, and filing purchase requisitions from user departments;
(iii) Assisting in sourcing quotations and preparing quotation opening schedules;
(iv) Maintaining procurement records, registers, and files;
(v) Assisting in preparation of local purchase orders and local service orders;
(vi) Receiving, inspecting, and recording goods supplied;
(vii) Issuing stores items to user departments upon approved requisitions;
(viii) Maintaining stores ledgers, bin cards, stock control cards, and inventory records;
(ix) Assisting in stock taking, inventory verification, and preparation of stock reports;
(x) Ensuring proper storage, safety, and custody of stores and supplies;
(xi) Assisting in market surveys and supplier data collection;
(xii) Supporting preparation of procurement plans and periodic reports;
(xiii) Ensuring compliance with procurement procedures, regulations, and guidelines;
(xiv) Updating supplier records and maintaining procurement databases; (xv) Performing any other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

(i) Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade C- (minus) or its equivalent qualification;
(ii) Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Purchasing and Supplies, Stores Management, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
(iii) Membership or registration with the relevant professional body, where applicable, will be an added advantage;
(iv) Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
