Terms of Engagement: Permanent and pensionable
Basic Salary Scale: Ranges between Kshs. 55,373.00 to Kshs. 97,988.00

Job specification

The duties and responsibilities entail assist in:

1. Handling students' issues concerning their social life by offering guidance and counselling in order to correct their undesirable behaviors.
2. Conducting the process of recruiting, interviewing and training peer educators.
3. Conducting guidance and counselling sessions in order to address arising social issues such as misuse of drugs.
4. Identifying topical issues that are beneficial to students.
5. Organizing for motivational speakers to address students on topical issues.
6. Maintaining consistent follow-up with the students to ensure sustainable improvement.
7. Referring students who require specific attention to the appropriate service provider such as drug addicts who require rehabilitation services

Person Specification

For appointment to this grade, one must:

1. Must possess Bachelor Degree in Counselling, Social Sciences, Education or its equivalent from an accredited and recognized university.
2. Be a member of a counsellors' body such as Kenya Counselors and Psychologists Association or Kenya Universities Psychologists and Counsellors Association.
3. Be computer proficient
4. Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
