Trainer (Internship) - Health Science Department
Terms of service: One (1) year contract renewable subject to satisfactory performance
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this position, a candidate must have: -
- Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Background training in Competency-Based Education Training(CBET)
- Pedagogy in Education, training, Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) Registration, Registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable will be an added advantage
- One who is reliable and of high integrity.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Undertaking training in areas of specialization in accordance with the syllabus
- Prepare teaching/learning materials and schemes of work
- Develop Technical teaching and Training Materials.
- Setting and marking examinations/assignments
- Supervision of trainees on attachment
- Instructing, guiding and evaluating trainees in practical exercises
- Reporting progress and overall performance of individual trainees
- Participating in development of curriculum and training programmes
- Undertaking/ carrying out research work under the guidance and supervision of a senior trainer
