IT Assistant at City Walk Kenya

City Walk Kenya, a footwear and lifestyle retail brand, is looking for a proactive, reliable and technically skilled IT Assistant to join our team in Westlands, Nairobi and provide day-to-day technical support across our branches and Head Office.

The successful candidate will assist in maintaining IT systems, hardware, software, networks, CCTV, ERP applications, internet connectivity, and other technology infrastructure to ensure smooth and uninterrupted business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. IT Technical Support
Provide first-level user support and troubleshoot computers, software, printers, scanners, connectivity, and user-access issues.

2. Network & Internet Support
Support LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and branch internet connectivity while coordinating resolution of network interruptions.

3. ERP & Business Systems Support
Support users on ERP, POS, HR, inventory, and other business applications, including basic troubleshooting and system upgrades.

4. CCTV & Security Systems

Monitor CCTV functionality, resolve basic faults, support footage retrieval, and escalate major security-system issues.

5. Hardware & Software Management
Maintain IT equipment, approved software, asset records, and coordinate repairs, replacements, and equipment allocation.

6. Data Security & IT Controls
Support user-access controls, antivirus protection, backups, cybersecurity procedures, and responsible use of company systems.

7. Branch IT Support
Provide technical support to branches and assist with IT setup for new locations, including computers, POS, networks, printers, CCTV, and internet.

8. IT Inventory & Documentation
Maintain accurafe IT asset records, support logs, reports. equipment movements, repairs, and periodic IT

Key Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant IT support experience, preferably in a retail, FMCG, hospitality, or multi-branch environment.
  • Practical knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting POS and ERP systems will be an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of CCTV and access-control systems is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical problems independently and escalate appropriately.
  • Valid certification in IT support, networking, or related areas will be an added advantage.
