Administrative Internships at KEMRI

Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is hiring Administrative Interns in Kisumu.

The interns will be trained on:

  • Nutrition research methodologies, including study design, data collection techniques such as dietary assessments and anthropometry, and ethical considerations in human research.
  • Data management and analysis, including data entry, cleaning, basic statistical analysis, interpretation and presentation of nutrition data, and use of digital field data collection tools.
  • Community nutrition and public health programming, including planning and implementing nutrition interventions, delivering targeted nutrition education, and monitoring and evaluating nutrition programs
  • Nutrition surveillance and policy, including understanding Kenya’s key nutrition guidelines, using nutrition indicators for decision-making, and the role of surveillance systems in health and nutrition
  • Organizing meetings, workshops, and field activities.
  • Any other duties as assigned to support project operations.

Qualifications

Good team player
2    Presentation skills
3    Must have graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
4    Be a Kenyan youth below 30 years of age
5    Interpersonal and communication skills
6    Analytical and report writing skills
7    Should have graduated and obtained the relevant final certificate.
