The National Mining Corporation (NAMICO) is recruiting a Mining Engineer to support implement the Division’s mandates.
NAMICO is a state corporation in the ministry of Mining Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs. The Corporation is established under the Mining Act, 2016 as the investment arm of the National Government with respect to minerals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare applications for and periodical performance reports of mineral rights
- Prepare and implement mine plans
- Prepare reports and instructions for geotechnical operations
- Prepare and implement mine scheduling
- Prepare and implement waste rock management plans
- Management of run of mine stockpiles
- Implement mine safety, environment and health regulations in mining operations
Requirement for Appointment
A person shall be qualified for appointment as the Mining Engineer if that person meets the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in either, mining, mineral processing, extractive metallurgy or civil engineering
