Sports Kenya is hiring a Electrical Engineer to be based in Kasarani, Nairobi.

The Sports Kenya is a State Corporation established by the Sports Act, 2013 with the mandate to establish, manage, develop and maintain sports facilities, promote, coordinate and implement grassroots, national and international sports programs in Kenya among other functions.

SK GRADE 8 (Permanent & Pensionable)

What you'll do

Duties and responsibilities will entail:

  1. Undertaking the maintenance of Electrical installations (Offices, sheds, estates, Flood lights, CCTVs, access Control Air-conditioning & refrigeration, solar power plant, Floodlights, Energy management, UPS, Fire alarm and Integrated Security System (ISS) are adequately supplied with power.
  2. Preparing electrical drawings and keeping custody of the same for all installations in the Stadium.
  3. Conducting site inspections
  4. Implementing preventive and major breakdown maintenance plans for the division.
  5. Reporting on equipment and installations breakdown maintenance.
  6. Executing maintenance and Management of all Electrical installations.
  7. Providing information needed for safe operation of the Electrical equipment & installations.
  8. Performing statutory inspections and recommend certification of Electrical Installations in the Sports Kenya buildings, installations and berths.

About you

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
  2. Professional Membership to Engineering Board of Kenya (EBK);
  3. Proficiency in Computer Applications
