Sports Kenya is hiring a Legal Officer to be based in Kasarani, Nairobi.
The Sports Kenya is a State Corporation established by the Sports Act, 2013 with the mandate to establish, manage, develop and maintain sports facilities, promote, coordinate and implement grassroots, national and international sports programs in Kenya among other functions.

Your Role
- Preparing legal briefs for the initiation of legal action;
- Preparing and interpreting legal opinions and offering guidance on legal requirements;
- Maintaining and ensuring proper management of the records of the legal department are up to date and produce quarterly reports on the same;
- Preparation and filing of pleadings for and on behalf of the Board;
- Drafting and reviewing of legal instruments and policy documents on behalf of the Board;
- Drafting of contracts and MoUs; and
- Undertaking legal research and assignments
About you
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- Bachelor of Law degree from a recognized institution;
- Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law;
- Member of the Law Society of Kenya;
- Proficiency in computer applications.
