Linksys Fiber Networks are hiring a Fiber Optic Field Technician in Molo who will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting fiber optic network infrastructure.
Key Roles
- Fiber network rollout and expansion
- FTTH/FTTB installation and splicing
- Troubleshooting signal loss and service interruptions
- Customer premise installations
- Maintenance of last-mile infrastructure
- On-site technical support
- Use fiber testing and diagnostic equipment to identify network faults.
- Follow required health, safety, and PPE procedures during field operations.
- Ensure installations and repairs meet required technical and quality standards
Requirements
- Diploma/Certificate in ICT, Telecommunication or Networking
- Proficiency in fiber splicing – fusion and mechanical
- OTDR, power meter, visual fault locator
- PON technology
- Safety standards – PPE use, pole handling certification
- First aid, fire and safety training, physical fitness
- Valid driving or motorbike license an advantage
- 1-2 years hands-on field experience
