KeNHA Free Technical Capacity Development Training for Youth, PWDs, and Project-Affected Persons in Isiolo, Meru, Wajir, and Garissa
The Government of Kenya, through the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), has announced a major opportunity for unemployed youth, project-affected persons, and persons living with disabilities (PWDs) in four counties. This initiative, part of the Horn of Africa Gateway Development Project (HoAGDP), aims to provide technical skills training to boost employability and economic empowerment.
Overview of the Training Program
The second cohort of the Technical Capacity Development program is funded by the World Bank (Credit No.: 6768-KE). The program targets residents of Isiolo, Meru, Wajir, and Garissa Counties. Selected candidates will undergo a one-year comprehensive technical training at the craftsmanship level. The training is designed to equip participants with practical, marketable skills that enhance their economic potential in various industries.
The training will be conducted at five institutions, including:

- Sensei Institute of Technology

Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Requirements)
Interested applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Age: Must be between 18 and 35 years.
- Educational Requirements:
- For courses examined by TVET/CDACC or MNP: A KCSE certificate of any grade is required.
- For NITA-examined courses: No formal educational qualifications are required. Applicants need only a valid Kenyan National ID Card and a valid driving license.
- Residency: Must be a resident of Meru, Isiolo, Wajir, or Garissa County.
Preference will be given to:
- Persons Living with Disabilities (PWDs)
- Orphans
- Persons from single-parenthood families
- Young single parents

Important Application Steps
- Sign and Stamp: Application forms must be signed and stamped by the Area Chief or Assistant County Commissioner as proof of residency.
- Registration: All applicants must register at designated drop-off points.
- Hard Copy Submission: Deliver the completed hard copy application to any of the following locations:
- KeNHA Regional Offices in Isiolo or Garissa
- County Commissioner’s offices in Isiolo, Meru, Garissa, or Wajir
- Area Chiefs’ offices
- HoAGDP Resident Engineers’ Site Offices at Nduumu, Garbatulla, and Wajir Town (Malil)
