After a resounding inaugural interview fair at NHU grounds Nairobi,Our client, a leading retail chain, continues to tap into our rich and diverse talent base of highly disciplined,committed to work graduates,our client has scheduled a two day interview fair for National Youth Service Graduates residing in the Coast counties of Kwale,Mombasa,Kilifi,Tana River and Lamu on 13-14th March 2025 in the following positions;
STOCKERS-FAST MOVING GOODS ,FRUITS AND VEGETABLE (300 POSTS)
As a stocker you will be ensuring that store shelves are adequately supplied with products involving receiving shipments, unpacking boxes, organizing items, and placing them on shelves in their assigned locations. It also includes rotating stock to ensure freshness and keeping the stock area clean and orderly, all while complying with company standards and safety protocols.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Offloading trucks and verifying the accuracy of incoming goods against delivery paperwork.
- Organizing stock to prioritize the display of fresh items at the front while ensuring older products are sold first.
- Strategically positioning products on shelves in accordance with designated locations, focusing on product placement and visual presentation.
- Monitoring inventory levels by assessing stock quantities and reporting any inconsistencies.
- Affixing appropriate price tags to merchandise while following safety protocols during the handling of heavy items and equipment operation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Fresh National Graduate
- Certificate or Diploma in Business and business related course,Agriculture and agriculture related courses
- Certificate of Good conduct.

COOKS ( 60 POST)
As a Cooks you are responsible for preparing meals, adhering to established recipes, and maintaining a tidy workspace. They may modify recipes to accommodate customer preferences and collaborate with the wait staff to ensure smooth service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Modify recipes to accommodate specific customer preferences.
- Coordinate with service staff regarding customer needs and requests.
- Create visually appealing garnishes to enhance the presentation of meals.
- Maintain a clean workspace consistently throughout the day to comply with health and safety regulations.
- Following established cooking schedules and portion sizes
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills and fryers
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Certificate or Diploma in Food Production
- Minimum one-year experience
- Proficiency in basic knife cuts like chopping, dicing, slicing, julienning
- Attention to detail
- Good Communication Skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- The ability to form positive relationships with colleagues.
BAKERS (60 POST)
As a Baker you will bake different types of pastry based on set recipes and keep high quality and follow hygiene.Display pastry nicely for customers, while also following food safety laws and company policies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
- Preparing and baking a variety of bread, pastries, and other baked goods
- Use ovens and baking tools to prepare different types of bread and pastries
- In-depth expertise in the techniques of bread, cake and pastries production.
- To ensure minimal wastage in production and that all wastages are promptly reported
- Ensure that standards of hygiene, health and safety are maintained in the work area.
- Cooperate with others to promote teamwork and synergy for greater productivity.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Certificate or Diploma in Pastry/Bakery
- Minimum one-year experience
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards

RECEIVING CLERKS (60 POST)
As a receiving clerk you will be responsible for checking and receiving incoming deliveries, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders, properly storing items in designated areas, and ensuring accurate inventory records by documenting all received goods, while adhering to safety regulations and resolving any discrepancies with suppliers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
- Receive and unload shipments from trucks, ensuring the safe handling of goods.
- Stamping control lists of controlled invoices and delivery notes for suppliers and those to be delivered to head office for payment
- Filing of receiving documents, supplier health trade license for those transporting fresh food,
- Inspecting products for any signs of damage, verifying expiration dates, and assessing overall quality to confirm compliance with established standards..
- Counting and cross-checking the quantity of each item received against the delivery documents.
- Register received goods in the inventory system, meticulously noting details such as product code, quantity, and delivery date.
- Properly rotating stock on shelves, placing items with earlier expiry dates in front.
- Storing received goods in specific locations within the warehouse or assigned storage rooms according to their product type and classification.
- Reporting and addressing any discrepancies between delivery and purchase order, communicating with suppliers to resolve issues
- Applying price tags and labels to received products as needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain Management
- Minimum one-year experience
- Proficiency in using inventory management software or databases
- Attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and inspection tasks
- Strong organizational skills for efficient storage solutions.
