Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to support the finance department with day-to-day accounting functions. The ideal candidate will assist in financial reporting, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in processing invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Prepare financial reports and maintain proper records.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
- Assist in payroll preparation and statutory deductions.
- Support the audit process by providing necessary documentation.
- Handle petty cash and ensure proper accountability.
- Maintain an organized filing system for financial documents.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and financial principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
