Vacancy Description
ForumCiv office in Kenya serves as the regional office for Eastern and Southern Africa (ESA), coordinating sub-granting in the region and developing new partnerships, innovative programmes, and local engagement with donors. Most of the region’s interventions focus on civil society strengthening and deepening democracy, human rights, and gender equality. The office works with a broad range of partners and stakeholders at grassroots, national, regional, and global levels.
Your Role
- Under the supervision of the Programme Officers, the PMR Intern will be responsible for the following duties.
- Support with data collection, analysis and utilisation efforts,
- Assist with the implementation of PMR activities according to the planned time frame.
- Support in the develop and utilisation of PMR tools,
- Contribute to the preparation of input for the implementation of Programme support tools including reporting tools,
- Support with programme archiving in-line with organizational guidelines,
- Support with the preparation of reports as required,
- Assist with logistical and administrative arrangements relating to the implementation of programme activities,
- Support in organizing and executing learning events that support the programme,
- Support the programmes team with planning and implementation of activities/processes,
- Assists in the preparation of grant management activities including compliance visits together with the programme teams,
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor and line Manager.
Requirements
- Relevant academic degrees in project management, international development, monitoring and evaluation, social sciences, or equivalent qualifications.
- Interest in programme/project management and administration and management in the development sector.
- Analytical and writing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and share knowledge
- Strong supportive and service-minded attitude
- High sense of responsibility and commitment
- Attention to detail
- Excellent ability to express oneself orally and in writing in English.
