Volunteers

Elimu Fanaka Initiative (EFI) provides opportunities for learners in rural public primary schools to access quality education and improve their experience. We are leveraging education as a tool for community transformation and view schools as centers for finding community solutions.

Through our work, we engage learners, teachers, parents, and community members, working together to find practical community-led solutions to create a sustainable and conducive environment for learners to thrive.

Since registration in 2019, EFI has worked with 8 schools in Taita Taveta. These are public primary schools with over 4000 direct beneficiaries including learners, teachers, and school support staff.

We are seeking educators and role models who have experience working with learners, teachers/parents, possess strong leadership qualities or have a talent and a desire to inspire young minds.

Volunteers must commit at least 4 hours per week for one year, with internal training provided for those willing to learn.

This is a chance to make a real impact in our communities by nurturing creativity, confidence, and leadership in learners, teachers and parents.
