Contract Type: Internship – Full Time (3 months probation, leading to a 1-year renewable contract)

Location: Nairobi, Kenya (On-Site with minimal hybrid working arrangement where applicable)

We’re looking for a passionate, digitally-savvy Social Media Intern to help us scale our online presence and community engagement across multiple platforms.

Role Overview

The Social Media Intern will play a key role in building, managing, and growing the online communities for WIN Group Agency, Skinny Dip Nairobi, and The Walking Tribe KE. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller, trend-aware, and comfortable with hands-on digital execution across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management

• Manage existing social media pages and create new ones where necessary (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp Channels).
• Plan, create, and schedule content across platforms to align with each brand’s voice and objectives.
• Engage audiences through interactive content, comments, DMs, and community-building activities.
• Track performance metrics and prepare regular reports.

E-commerce & Business Profiles

• Create and manage WhatsApp Business Profiles, Stores, and Catalogues.
• Set up and maintain Meta Business Shops (Instagram Shops, Facebook Shops) and TikTok Shops for Skinny Dip Nairobi.
• Support in aligning online stores with suppliers and finance for smooth operations.

Influencer Marketing

• Identify, recruit, and onboard influencers relevant to each brand.
• Manage influencer relationships, contracts, and deliverables.
• Coordinate influencer content campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and reporting.

Brand & Content Support

• Work with the Client Service Manager on campaign rollouts, product launches, and event marketing.
• Assist in photography, video shoots, editing, and digital storytelling where needed.
• Stay on top of trends, memes, and cultural conversations to keep content fresh and engaging.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field (or in progress).
• Strong knowledge of AI tools and apps such as Lexi, ChatGPT, Asana, Lexi and Gamma
• Strong knowledge of Social Media Management Tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, Sprout Social, Zoho Social, Metricool, and Canva’s Content Planner.
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms and e-commerce tools such as Shopify.
• Advanced content creation skills (photography, videography, editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, YouCut, Adobe apps).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Passion for lifestyle, wellness, entertainment, and pop culture.
• Team player with a growth mindset and willingness to learn.

Compensation:

• Salary: KES 17,500 per month (probation). Review after 3 months probation.
• Contract: 3 months internship probation, leading to a 1-year renewable contract.
• Benefits: None beyond salary.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 6:00pm (1-hour lunch break).
• Saturday: 9:00am – 2:00pm (remote work optional).
