Note: Applicants with emerging specializations but without pedagogy/andragogy may apply and successful applicants in this category shall be required to acquire Pedagogy/andragogy qualifications from a recognized Institution within two (2) years upon appointment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:

• undertaking training in areas of specialization in accordance with the syllabus;
• preparing teaching/learning materials and schemes of work;
• setting and marking examination/assignment;
• carrying out research work under the guidance and supervision of a senior trainer;
• supervising trainees’ projects and practical work;
• preparing training documents;
• undertaking training activities;
• participating in development and review of curricula;
• participating in development of training manuals;
• setting, moderating and marking examinations;
• participating in trainee practical assessments; and
• performing any other function that is incidental or consequential to the functions of the department.

General Requirements

In addition to the specific qualifications below, the candidate must:

• be licensed by TVET Authority or meet the requirement for licensing by TVETA; and
• be a member of a relevant professional body, where applicable.
