Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC) is a Public Media Training Institution in Kenya established in 1961. It is currently a State Corporation established through Legal Notice No.197 of 2011 (amended 2012). The Institute offers training at Post Graduate, Diploma and Certificate levels in Communication and Cinematic Arts.

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT III, KIMC GRADE 9 (PERMANENT & PENSIONABLE) (1 POST)

Job Description

This is the entry grade for the Supply Chain Management Assistant cadre.

Duties and responsibilities will entail:

(i) Ensuring compliance with the Public Procurement, Asset and Disposal Act and Regulations;
(ii) Facilitating inspection and acceptance of goods and services;
(iii) Receipts of good and services;
(iv) Processing of delivery notes and invoices;
(v) Managing and undertaking stock taking and re-order levels;
(vi) Ensuring that the stores are clean at all times;
(vii) Updating bin card records;
(viii) Labelling the store wares; and
(ix) Preparing and maintaining of store records.

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must be in possession of: –

(i) Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Procurement, Procurement and Logistics, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Supplies Chain Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
(ii) A valid practicing License from Kenya Institute of Supply Management;
(iii) Certificate in computer application skills.

Terms of Service
The successful candidate will be on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service. The Minimum basic salary for this position will range from Kshs. 40, 051 – Kshs. 53, 778/= per month exclusive of allowances.
