CFAO Mobility Kenya Limited, a subsidiary of the CFAO Group, is the distributor and service provider of Toyota, Yamaha motorcycles, Volkswagen, Suzuki, Mercedes Benz passenger, trucks and buses, Hino, Hyundai light trucks and Sinotruk (HOWO) as well as Winpart (value parts) and AUTOFAST quick service stations.

Warehouse Technician

JOB PURPOSE 

The incumbent will ensure efficient management of the warehouse by maintaining correct & optimum stock to ensure high level of customer satisfaction and exceptional service delivery and contribute towards achievement of Business budget turnover.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB

 Operational Responsibilities 

  1. Timely and accurate Picking of consumables from the bins as per requisitions raised.
  2. Receive materials into the warehouse when delivered from the suppliers.
  3. Unbox the received materials to sort them according to specifications/features, and to check quantities and quality.
  4. Bin all received materials in line with the warehouse guidelines for ease in accessibility and minimized denials.
  5. Conducting continuous perpetuals according to the mapping submitted by the supervisor and reporting on weekly basis with each line with variance explained.
  6. Record all returned consumables to facilitate raising credit notes.
  7. Check system stocks against the physical stocks to identify variances and report to the Procurement Manager.
  8. Communicate all the damages and any difference in numbers of the consumables received in the warehouse.
  9. Record information on goods issued to production in line with the warehouse procedure, and file warehouse documentation to ensure availability of information when required.
  10. Arrange goods in line with the set standards to enhance warehouse safety and efficiency in warehouse operations.
  11. Arranging and participating in the wall -wall stock counts to ensure achievement of <1% warehouse stock variance
  12. Collaborate and communicate with teams to ensure On Time deliveries of product.
  13. Ensuring that the warehouse is in excellent condition regarding cleanliness, safety, and equipment condition to minimize production downtime and support Lean Manufacturing Initiatives
  14. Seeking opportunities to drive improvement on projects and lean processes.
  15. Able to complete other related duties as assigned by management.
  16. Apply sound problem-solving skills to achieve high quality standards for internal customers in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum level of academic and professional qualification required to perform effectively in the role

  1. A degree or diploma in a Technical field or Business-related field
  2.  Working knowledge of Syspro

Minimum level of experience required to perform effectively in the role

2+ years’ experience in a warehouse preferably within the automotive
