About the Young Professionals Program

One Acre Fund’s Young Professionals Program offers high-performing African graduates meaningful internships and training opportunities at a high-performing, mission-driven organization. Our internships are paid and all interns can expect to receive substantive work assignments working on high-impact projects that support One Acre Fund’s operations.

When joining, interns will participate in an onboarding program and receive training on how to design and execute projects. Over the period of your internship, you will get the opportunity to work with like-minded individuals and receive learning opportunities to build strong foundations for your future career.

About the Role

The Global Recruitment Intern will be a member of our Global Recruitment Team. You will support the Operations sub-team. You will report to the Recruitment Senior Coordinator, and you will also collaboratively work with others on the global team.

Responsibilities

  • You will complete recurring tasks to keep our recruitment operations running with minimal errors.
  • You will oversee the candidate screening and selection process from application to hire and provide excellent customer service to all candidates, and enjoy winning in the details.
  • You will manage the candidate database using our Applicant Tracking System to track applications and analyze data to improve processes.
  • Project/Process Improvements: In collaboration with your manager, you will support change and improvement strategies in our recruitment systems, utilizing data to achieve results.

Qualifications

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field of study
  • Nice to have:
    • 6 months to 1 year of recruitment or relevant HR experience
    • Experience using applicant tracking systems e.g., greenhouse is desirable but not compulsory
  • Basic data analysis skills – you can pick out patterns
  • An ability to maintain Excel or Google Sheets/trackers
  • Collaboration experience with different stakeholders
  • Great learning skills, curious, and a knack for attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in English
  • Eligibility: This role is only open to citizens or permanent residents of Kenya.

Interns will be provided with a reasonable stipend for the duration of their contract. Rural area based fellows will be provided assistance in locating suitable housing.
