Legal Internships

The Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ), or Office of the Ombudsman of Kenya, is a constitutional commission established under Article 59(4) of the Constitution and the CAJ Act of 2011. It tackles maladministration (abuse of power, unfair treatment, delay) in the public sector and enforces the Access to Information Act, 2016.

1. Legal Intern – Mombasa Regional Office Ref. No.: CAJ/INTERN/001/2026
2. Legal Intern – Kajiado Huduma Centre Ref. No.: CAJ/INTERN/002/2026

Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities for this position will entail:

1. Screening of complainants
2. Assisting in handling public complaints and provision of legal advice;
3. Assisting in conducting legal research on matters relating to administrative justice and other legal matters;
4. Compiling reports and collating data for preparation of briefs
5. Any other duty assigned by the Commission from time to time

Qualifications

For appointment to this position, a candidate must have;

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized institution

CLEARANCE/COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATES

Successful candidates will be required to provide copies of clearance or compliance certificates.
