Job Description
Theย Sales Development Representative (SDR) Traineeย will be the engine of our revenue growth, responsible for building a strong, high-quality sales pipeline and generating qualified meetings for our Account Executives. This role focuses on identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospects, directly contributing to revenue growth.
We are seeking ambitious early-career sales professionals with foundational sales exposure who understand modern prospecting strategies, and thrive in a performance-driven environment. Success in this role requires energy, resilience, discipline, and exceptional professionalism in client interactions. High-volume outbound outreach. Particularly cold calling within the competitive cloud and SaaS landscape will be a core responsibility. The phone is your primary growth tool.
This is a structuredย Trainee Program โ not an internship.ย It is intentionally designed to identify, train, evaluate, and fast-track high-potential, results-driven individuals into full-time Sales Development Representative roles at CloudPlexo, with clear progression into advanced sales positions.
Key Responsibilities:
Pipeline Development:
- Execute high-volume cold calling and targeted outbound prospecting daily to identify, qualify, and engage key decision-makers globally.
- Strategically utilize email campaigns and social selling to penetrate target accounts and secure initial discovery meetings.
- Relentlessly qualify both inbound and outbound leads to ensure that every opportunity passed to the Account Executives is a high-potential, sales-ready lead. (Consider Wording- Exactly what we want)
- ย Identify and research target accounts within defined industries and segments.
- Execute multi-channel outbound campaigns (email, LinkedIn, calls, events).
- Generate qualified meetings and sales opportunities for Account Executives.
- Maintain consistent pipeline-building activity aligned with revenue targets.
- Ensure seamless handover of qualified opportunities to sales team.
- Maintain accurate and updated records in CRM.
- Meet and exceed KPIs including: Meetings booked, Qualified opportunities created, Pipeline contribution, Activity metrics.
Client Engagement & Professionalism:
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and executive presence in all client interactions, serving as the first impression of CloudPlexo.
- Clearly and persuasively articulate the value proposition of CloudPlexo’sย entire suite of offerings, including GenAI Solutions, Cybersecurity, Managed SaaS, AWS Billing Optimization, Large-Scale Migrations ,and more.
- Schedule and confirm initial meetings and product demonstrations for the senior sales team.
Performance and Data Management:
- Meticulously track all sales activities and prospect data within the CRM to ensure an accurate view of the pipeline’s health.
- Consistently meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly activity and qualification targets.
- Actively participate in sales strategy sessions and provide candid feedback to optimize outreach methods.
Requirements
- Required Experience: 0-1 years of professional experience in a sales, customer service, or high-volume communications role. We welcome fresh graduates and individuals with a strong aptitude for sales who are eager to learn and prove themselves.
- Bachelorโs Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Communications, or a related field.
- Demonstrated high energy, a strong competitive spirit, and an aptitude for a ‘hunter’ mentality essential for building a sales pipeline from scratch.
- Exceptional client-facing skills and professional demeanor with the ability to engage confidently.
- Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
- Familiarity with or a strong willingness to learn CRM software (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement tools.
- โA proactive, results-oriented attitude with the discipline to manage a fast-paced, goal-driven workflow.
