The Tamarind Group is a renowned Kenyan-based hospitality company founded in 1972, specializing in high-end restaurants, leisure operations, and accommodation. Famously owning the Carnivore Restaurant and Tamarind seafood restaurants, the group also operates the Tamarind Tree Hotel and Tamarind Village, providing luxury dining and lodging.

HR Internship

In hospitality, the guest may be king… but the team makes the magic happen. That’s where you come in. We’re looking for an HR Intern who can keep up with the fast-paced, high-energy world of hotels and restaurants; where no two days (or shifts) are ever the same.

Responsibilities

You’ll support the HR team across key areas including recruitment, onboarding, administration, and employee engagement. This includes assisting with hiring activities, supporting onboarding documentation and processes, maintaining organized employee records, and providing general administrative support. You’ll also contribute to HR initiatives by helping prepare training materials and supporting staff engagement activities and events.

Additional Information

Exposure to HR activities through coursework, attachments, or internships is an added advantage. Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.) is preferred. Strong communication, organization skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism are essential.
