Three decades ago, Guaranty Trust was founded by a group of young, vibrant and dynamic professionals determined to transform traditional banking and make financial services accessible to all Africans in ways that truly serve their needs and help their businesses thrive.

Since commencing operations in 1991, we have maintained an unbroken streak of year-on-year growth and over the past decade, we embarked on a period of unparalleled growth, growing our customer base from less than 3 million customers in 2011 to over 24million customers in 2020, and profit before tax from N45.5 billion at the end of the 2010 financial year to N238.1billion at the end of the 2020 financial year.

In July 2021, we completed our corporate reorganization into a financial holding structure, with Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO PIc) as the parent of all Guaranty Trust businesses. This transition is part of our longterm strategy to position for future growth and deliver the full breadth of value adding financial services to people, businesses and economies across Africa.

Internship Facts

2 Months
Our summer internship program is two months long and you will have the option to become a staff of Guaranty Trust Holding Plc after your internship period or upon your graduation from university.

We are located across Africa
We are across Africa. You can find us in Nigeria, Ghana, Cote D’Ivoire, Gambia, Kenya, Liberia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Tanzania; and our internship slots are primarily allocated to students from these countries.

Our Ideal Intern

We are open to penultimate year bachelor’s degree students or those pursuing a master’s degree in: Accounting, Business Management, Business Administration, Data Science/Analytics, Social Sciences, Economics, Finance, Law, Marketing, Mathematics/Statistics and other related ÿelds.
