Trainers - Communication / Social Works

Konoin Technical Training Institute is hiring Trainers for Communication Skills and Social Works in Konoin. You will deliver engaging lessons, develop training materials, guide student projects and industrial attachments, assess competencies, and contribute to curriculum development. If you hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree, a TVET Trainer Certificate, are registered with TVETA, and have at least two years of experience, we encourage you to apply.

Konoin Technical Training Institute wishes to advertise for the following vacancies under Board of Governors.

1. COMMUNICATION SKILLS TRAINER

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Conduct theoretical and practical lessons in communication skills.
2. Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work and training materials.
3. Supervise students’ projects and industrial attachments.
4. Evaluate and assess students’ competencies in communication skills.
5. Participate in curriculum development and implementation.
6. Maintain discipline, cleanliness and order in training areas.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, English, Linguistics, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field from a recognized institution.
• TVET Trainer Certificate (Pedagogy).
• MUST be Registered as a Trainer with TVETA.
• Minimum of two (2) years relevant teaching or industrial experience.
• Computer literate.

2. SOCIAL WORK TRAINER

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Conduct theoretical and practical lessons in social work and community development.
2. Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work and training materials in line with the curriculum.
3. Guide students in field-based practice, community engagement and social intervention activities.
4. Supervise students’ practical activities, fieldwork projects and industrial attachments.
5. Maintain records of student fieldwork, community outreach activities and related reports.
6. Evaluate and assess students’ competencies in social work practice.
7. Participate in curriculum development and implementation.
8. Maintain discipline, order and professionalism during professionalism during training and field activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma in Social Work or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Diploma in Technical Education or TVET Trainer Certificate (Pedagogy).
• MUST be Registered as a Trainer with TVETA.
• Minimum of two (2) years relevant teaching or industrial experience.
• Computer literate.
