The Nyandarua County Public Service Board invites applications from suitably qualified, competent, and experienced persons to fill the following vacant positions in the County Government of Nyandarua's DEPARTMENT OF TRADE, INDUSTRIALIZATION, COOPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT AND PARTNERSHIP
COOPERATIVE AUDITOR II, JOB GROUP 'J' - ONE (1) POST
Terms of Service: Five (5) year renewable contract with a provision to translate to permanent and pensionable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
(i) Assisting in auditing cooperative societies' books of accounts and financial records;
(ii) Verifying financial statements, records, and supporting documents for accuracy and compliance;
(iii) Assisting in identifying financial irregularities and preparing audit observations;
(iv) Preparing draft audit reports for cooperative societies;
(v) Assisting in conducting inspections and inquiries into cooperative societies;
(vi) Ensuring compliance with the Cooperative Societies Act, audit regulations, and accounting standards;
(vii) Maintaining audit working papers and records;
(viii) Assisting in follow-up of audit recommendations and corrective actions;
(ix) Participating in training and sensitization of cooperative officials on financial management practices;
(x) Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
(i) A Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option), Business Administration (Accounting option), Economics, or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
OR
(ii) Passed Part III of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination or its recognized equivalent qualification;
(iii) Proficiency in computer applications.
