KidsCare Kenya, a registered trust based in Lunga Lunga Sub-County, Kwale is a dynamic organization dedicated to supporting orphans & vulnerable children.
KidsCare Kenya is seeking a passionate and experienced Social Worker to join their growing team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to community-driven programs that strengthen families, promote child protection, and improve the well-being of vulnerable children.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee field activities across all KidsCare programs.
- Provide technical support and capacity building for effective program impact.
- Represent KidsCare in community meetings, stakeholder forums, and outreach events.
- Supervise community groups and facilitate referrals to service providers.
- Support and mentor community volunteers in program implementation.
- Conduct household visits and assist in case management, counselling, and follow-ups.
- Assist in program documentation, monitoring & evaluation, and reporting.
- Identify needs for new projects through research, case studies, and assessments.
- Support stakeholder engagement and facilitate community awareness forums.
- Assist in budget planning and resource allocation for program activities.
- Ensure the maintenance and implementation of child protection initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Social Work, Community Development, or a related field.
- At least 2 years experience in community-based programs, child protection, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in diverse settings.
- Knowledge of community mobilization and case management is an added advantage.
